Education is a top priority at the Akron Zoo. We are committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities to all of our zoo guests. The Akron Zoo offers many educational programs, both on-grounds and off-grounds to individuals and groups who want to explore wildlife and the ways we can save them.
The Akron Zoo offers a variety of age-level appropriate programs that fit the Ohio Academic Learning Standards, including ZooMobile, On-ground, and Distance Learning programs.
Spend your summer days with us at Zoo Camp. Programs are available for children 6-16 years old. Live animal encounters, educational tours, and crafts are included in these special programs that are offered June-August.
Join us in the spring, summer and fall for our Early Childhood Programs that are offered for ages birth - 5 years. Each month we explore a new theme!
