Requirements
Participants must have access to a two-way, audio-video teleconferencing system operating at 384K or faster. Sites connecting with the Akron Zoo for the first time, or sites that have not made a connection in over a year, need to complete a test call. Sites must also be able to connect with the State of Ohio network and are responsible for any charges they incur while making that connection.

Limitations
All of the Distance Learning programs offered by the Zoo incorporate interaction with the students. Groups with 50 or less optimize the interaction.

Registration
Distance Learning registration forms are accepted year round on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure your chances of receiving a program on the date you desire, submit your registration one month in advance. A confirmation letter will then be mailed out. It is your responsibility as the contact person to provide your technical person with the details of the connection.
