The Akron Zoo is the place "Where Kids Love To Learn"!
This year we will be holding our first ever Home Educators Day. This day will be dedicated to showcasing the many educational opportunities we have to offer home school families.
Date: September 27, 2008
Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Where: Activities will be taking place through out the zoo but the main location is the lower level of the Komodo Kingdom Education Center.
What: The day includes animal encounters, program activities, guided tours, home school program information, Snooze at the Zoo information, field trip information, special zoo talks, refreshments, prize drawing and free train rides.
Registration: In order to attend the activities, you must register in advanced. You and three guests will be admitted free of charge. Regular admission rates apply for additional guests. For registrations please send an email to mjgirard@akronzoo.org with your name, home school support group or co-op (if applicable), number of guests you plan on bringing, ages of children you teach, and your zip code. Registrations must be received by September 19th.
